Raleigh NC – Manning Fulton attorney John B. McMillan was ranked the second-most effective lobbyist in North Carolina for 2007-08 in a survey by the N.C. Center for Public Policy Research. The rankings are based on a survey of legislators, registered lobbyists and the capital news media.
With more than 35 years' experience representing clients before the N.C. General Assembly, McMillan's clients span a broad range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, property and casualty insurance, brewers, real estate, museums and arts organizations.
McMillan currently serves as President-Elect of the North Carolina State Bar and as Immediate Past President of the University of North Carolina School of Law Alumni Association. He is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars on land condemnation cases and professional ethics.
