2008 - MANNING FULTON REPRESENTS MANAGED HOSTING COMPANY IN $140 MILLION SALE

Raleigh NC, April 2008  A team of attorneys from Manning Fulton & Skinner, P.A. represented Hosted Solutions in the recent $140 million sale to a private equity firm, ABRY Partners, in Boston.

“Manning Fulton did a great job of working under very tight time constraints and getting the deal pushed across for us.  It was great communication. … They brought in the right people at the right time – it was seamless from our point of view.”

“I think it’s their ability to understand our business and what we’re trying to accomplish. … I’ve worked with bigger law firms, and at the end of the day, you get a junior person who really doesn’t understand your business.  With Manning Fulton, I didn’t have to educate them – that’s very important”.

In June 2001, Rich Lee paid $375,000 for the assets of a data center in Cary, NC that was in bankruptcy. Over the next seven years the company accumulated five data centers, where companies keep computers that run their Web sites or store data in secure, environmentally controlled settings.  By early 2008, Hosted Solutions had 700 customers.

“Manning Fulton knew which aspects of the deal to focus on, and which were ancillary,” Lee said. “At the end of the day, I needed to run my business.”
